006 / AI Philosophy
दिल के लिए मौत है मशीनों की हुकूमत

The rule of machines kills emotion.

Allama Iqbal· 1877–1938
01

Empathy is non-negotiable

Models predict what a person will do next. They can't feel what it will cost that person. I've watched a technically correct answer land emotionally wrong more times than I can count — before AI reaches a human, a human has to check what it's about to say.

02

Automate the task, not the judgment

Let it draft the email, sort the file, summarize the deck. Do not let it decide who to hire, who to fire, or what a customer really meant. Automate the labor. Keep the deciding.

03

Design for intervention

If someone has to click three times to disagree with the model, I've built a product that fights them. The undo, the override, the “no, not like that” — that's not an escape hatch. That's the feature.

04

Transparency beats confidence

A model that says “I'm not sure” is one I can ship. A model that sounds certain about the wrong thing is dangerous in production. I'll take an answer labeled 60% over a 60% answer that looks 100%, any day.

05

Design for the failure mode

Every demo works. Every real deployment surprises you on day three. What the interface does when the model stalls, hallucinates, times out, or refuses — that's the product. The happy path is just table stakes.

06

Craft still belongs to humans

AI will generate a hundred layouts in a minute. Deciding which one actually feels right is still a person, at 11 PM, with cold coffee. Speed got cheap the day GPT shipped. Taste didn't — and it won't.

In their own words

Words from colleagues and managers I've been fortunate to work with.

As a manager, you should be EXTREMELY LUCKY to have an employee like Bhavin on your side. I have recruited him as a workhorse to quickly implement a feature or fix bugs quickly. But Bhavin proved to be way above my expectations. I have not done any other talent acquisition without Bhavin's approval on technical side and I trusted his ability to do the technical interview thoroughly. He was new to the field of Wireless when he started his career in Motorola. He passed that hurdle with his hard work and commitment. Bhavin is a kind of person any manager can trust and I am 101% sure he will deliver on that expectation. I wish him all success in his future endeavour. I would like to appreciate him for following the stringent development process which included mock-up creations, review and implementation. All in all, he is GREAT.

Engineering Leader

Once in a while, you encounter someone whose talents astound, and whose personality is always inspiring. That is my impression of Bhavin. He is modest, but an extremely talented developer and graphic designer, with a focus on Adobe Flex and related internet technologies. He has very valuable skills for creating amazing visual components and applications that maximize both usability and aesthetics. Being a quick learner, he accomplishes his tasks at lightning speed, and I have found him to be extremely dependable for complex development assignments. Watching him work, right from creating spectacular visual mock-ups to transforming them into working applications was a pleasure. I would recommend him for anything I need UI/UX development assistance with. Wish you the very best, Bhavin.
