Taking the Friction Out of Apartment Wi-Fi Management
In modern apartment complexes, student dorms, and senior living communities, reliable Wi-Fi is considered an essential utility—just like water or electricity. Yet traditional multi-family networks often create headaches. Residents face frustrating move-in delays, spotty coverage in common areas like gyms or pools, and privacy worries about neighboring devices appearing on their home network.
For property staff, managing Wi-Fi across hundreds of units historically meant submitting support tickets to external IT contractors for even the simplest tasks. I designed cnMaestro MDU to give property managers and service providers a visual, self-explanatory command center that makes tenant onboarding instant, floor plan diagnostics intuitive, and troubleshooting effortless.
Personal Area Networks With Community-Wide Roaming
cnMaestro MDU gives each resident their own private virtual network (PAN) while enabling seamless roaming throughout the entire property. Residents can take a video call from their living room to the courtyard pool without disconnecting, all while keeping their personal devices safely hidden from neighbors.

Pinpointing Issues on Architectural Floor Plans
When a resident reports slow speeds, property managers shouldn't have to decipher MAC addresses or radio frequencies. The interactive floor plan view maps hardware directly onto building blueprints.
Staff can instantly see where every access point is mounted, check signal coverage across units, and immediately spot offline hardware before residents ever experience an outage.
Unit Details & Real-Time AP Health Diagnostics
Drilling into any specific apartment reveals a comprehensive unit overview: tenant profile, active devices, bandwidth consumption, and assigned hardware.
The AP Health dashboard gives technicians deep diagnostics on channel utilization, RF interference, and connection quality without requiring specialized handheld testers.
